For the

The campus movement network exists to help churches build a self-sustaining, multiplying college ministry in their city.

How does the network operate ?

The CAMO Network is designed to help churches build a self-sustaining, multiplying college ministry in their city. We do this by providing your church with college ministry resources, strategies, and events. Our structure ensures that the local church retains ultimate authority over its campus ministry, helping them effectively reach the campus while maintaining proper oversight.

What can the network provide ?

  • Most churches fail at college ministry not for a lack of zeal or passion, but for a lack of competence. Reaching college students with the gospel takes a great deal of time and strategy. We have a lot of strategic experience building college ministries and have skills and tools we can offer churches on how to build self-sustaining, multiplying college ministries that will help change the world. This doesn’t happen inside the church walls, but through “on the ground” evangelism and discipleship on the campus.

  • Building a college ministry takes FOCUS and a TEAM. Many churches struggle because there is not a concentrated effort to build. Churches need full-time staff whose sole responsibility is to evangelize and disciple students on the campus. Because most churches cannot afford this, we provide the training for staff to raise financial support to cover their salary and all ministry costs.

  • For the last decade our network has been creating resources directly catered to ministering to college students. We want to alleviate the time and effort it takes to create these kinds of resources by providing them for you. Our resources include materials for evangelism, discipleship, administrative planning, staff development, and much more.

  • There is strength in numbers. Being a part of a network provides the ability to bring your students to conferences and retreats with other like-minded ministries. These big events create a momentous and gospel-centered atmosphere that will cause tremendous growth in the lives of your students. There is also a huge advantage to being able to bring the students in your ministry to events that you did not have to plan.

We will also provide in-person and virtual staff development and training to continue to bolster the preparedness of your ministry staff.

  • It’s important for your ministry staff to receive support and advice from people who have been in the same situations and circumstances. Our staff have been doing college ministry for several years and can speak from personal experience. There will be times when you will not know what to do next to move your ministry forward or are unsure how to handle a certain on-campus situation. We are here to help you navigate those difficult situations.

What are the requiremenTs to be in the network?

  • We desire to partner with ministries that have similar doctrine and theological beliefs. This does not mean that we have to agree on everything - but that we do agree on the core beliefs of the Christian faith. Below is a short statement of faith with an attached link to a longer statement as well. All partnerships with churches will be on a case by case basis and each church's theological beliefs will have to be reviewed.

We hold fast to the scriptural presentation of One God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Romans 1:7; Hebrews 1:8; Acts 5:3-4).

God sent His only Son to this world (
John 3:16). It was on this very earth where Jesus Christ became fully man while remaining fully God, and died on a cross to pay the debt of sin.
Except for the perfect life of Jesus Christ (
Hebrews 4:15), all have sinned and fallen short of God's standards (Romans 3:23).

That sin has doomed all people to eternal torment in Hell. However, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the punishment for sin has been paid. Those who believe that and put their faith in the person of Jesus Christ are granted a complete and eternal salvation and will spend eternity in Heaven (
    Romans 1:16; Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 5:9).

We follow Scripture regarding church leadership and the church itself. You can read about more of our beliefs
HERE. We are open to sharing our doctrinal positions any time. We want to be transparent in our presentation, methods, and beliefs.

Also, For CAMO’s position on the ideologies of Critical Theory/Critical Race Theory, the Social Justice Movement, and the LGBTQ+ Movement, please read a statement from the elders HERE.

  • We desire to partner with churches that value the same things as we do. Having a similar philosophy of ministry is important and will help in ministry effectiveness.

Our ministry values described in detail can be found HERE.

  • The way we do ministry is very important. It is very specific and strategic. To be a part of the Campus Movement network, it is vital for us not to just agree theologically, or philosophically, but also PRACTICALLY.  The “how” of our ministry is what distinguishes us from the way most college ministry through the church is done.

There is much that can be said on how we do ministry, but the simplest way is through the “4 E’s” - Evangelize, Establish, Equip, Export.

More information about our ministry strategy can be found HERE.

“Campus Movement is a remarkable ministry seeking to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to college campuses. The ministry is relationally focused on caring for students coupled with a desire to help them develop a deep appreciation for the local church and its role in equipping believers within community for the Glory of God. As the Lead Pastor of Cape Bible Chapel, I am so thankful for this ministry and its impact on our church!”

(Former CAMO SEMO Student)

“I came to college not knowing the Gospel and left equipped to meet daily with God through His Word and in prayer, rightly interpret and apply Scripture, share the good news of Christ with others, fellowship with other believers, and follow the Lord for the rest of my life! My eternity and life are forever changed, and the Lord used Campus Movement greatly to do that!”
